Wellness Rooms at Orange County Convention Center

As part of its ongoing improvements program, the Orange County Convention Center is converting the campus’ underutilized spaces into all-new Wellness Rooms. These dedicated locations can be used for nursing and pumping, but they’re also ideal for meditation, prayer and personal medical needs.

“Over the last several years, we have seen an increase in requests for a private space attendees can use for various wellness reasons, including prayer and nursing,” says Yulita Osuba, OCCC deputy director. “Recognizing the needs of our guests, we’re pleased to … offer a permanent, well-appointed area for them to call their own. Guest comfort is a high priority here at the Center of Hospitality, and these new rooms help us extend that mission.”

All Wellness Rooms include a chair and table to ensure comfort when guests are taking advantage of the space. Each room also features a lock that notifies others when it’s occupied, ensuring guest privacy.

To date, three Wellness Rooms have been completed, including one each in the West, South and North concourses. Once complete, the OCCC will have six total rooms, with three more coming to the West concourse in the near future.
